Los primeros televisores.

Aunque la primera televisión a color no entró en mi casa hasta finales de los 80, dichos aparatos ya llevaban unos cuantos años a la venta en Estados Unidos. El primer modelo de estos aparatos en ponerse a la venta al público fue el fabricado por Westinghouse, que costaba 1.295 dólares -9.400 dólares de hoy en día-.
Dicho modelo se puso a la venta un 28 de febrero de 1954 en Nueva York, aunque se vio superado en unas pocas semanas por el modelo lanzado por RCA -el RCA CT-100-, que costaba 1.000 dólares. Para entonces, la NBC y la CBS llevaban años probando la emisión a color e incluso esta última, junto con la RCA había vendido 100 receptores que sólo le buscaron varias demandas por parte de usuarios insatisfechos.
Si bien es cierto que RCA perdió dinero con cada tele fabricada, muy pronto llegaron los beneficios con la aparición de nuevos modelos y los bajones de precio.
